TV18 Broadcast Ltd., an Indian entity belonging to Network 18 Group, owns and operates various channels, such as CNBC-TV18, CNBC Awaaz, CNN-News18, News18 India, IBN Lokmat, History TV; internet-based media outlets, such as Moneycontrol.com, Firstpost.com, Homeshop18; and print magazines, such as Forbes India. To maintain an edge in the industry, TV18 required the best-in-class technology for their new broadcast studio, with an emphasis on minimum bezel gap and flexibility of inputs.

After evaluating different video wall solutions, they shortlisted Barco UniSee, because of its unique bezel-less design, excellent performance, and impressive after-sales support that they had experienced during their longstanding partnership with Barco.

Barco’s visualization solution provided the quality level, flexibility and reliability needed for the seamless presentation, enabling TV18 to stay at the top of its game.

An uninterrupted, state-of-the-art experience

Barco UniSee is an award-winning platform with precise detailing in every aspect. It delivers optimum image quality, along with installation precision, ease-of-servicing, and reliability.

Partnering with TV18, Barco UniSee brought forth flicker-free images for an optimal viewing experience. With Barco’s Sense X technology in play, brightness and color automatically adjust, ensuring an ideal broadcast level for TV18. The bezel-less design results in an uninterrupted view for the audience.

Moreover, the UniSee Mount eased maintenance efforts and its self-alignment mechanism helped TV18 to align the panel to deliver an unprecedented viewing experience. The assembly system ensured easy installation and perfect alignment of the panels, without damaging their edges. Barco UniSee delivered a vivid platform that enabled TV18 to adjust the panels according to the requirements of different shows.

All touchpoints of the journey were equally impressive

“Barco's UniSee video wall is the ideal solution in our broadcast studios for broadcasting backdrops, in perfect coordination with studio design and requirements,” comments Sanjay Singhal, GM – Technical Operations, TV18 Broadcast Ltd. “It is conveniently used by the channel’s production and technology team.”

Barco UniSee comes with a backlight lifetime of 100,000 hours, which translates into about 67% longer lifetime than other mainstream solutions. Six Barco representatives were in coordination with TV18’s technical team, delivering ease at the stage of installation. It was completed in 20 days, within the given timelines. Barco also ensured post-installation continuity by training the technical staff and operations teams on the usage.
