NTI Introduces DVI Extender via Singlemode or Multimode Fiber Optic Cable

AURORA, OH: Network Technologies Inc today announced the addition of the XTENDEX® ST-2FODVI-LC DVI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable to its popular line of DVI extenders.

The DVI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable locates a single link digital DVI display away from a computer up to 4,920 feet (1,500 meters) using singlemode fiber optic cable and 1,640 feet (500 meters) using multimode fiber optic cable. Each extender consists of a transmitter that connects to a computer and a receiver that connects to a monitor.

The extender reads and restores EDID (extended display identification data when the receiver is plugged into a display, and supports resolutions up to 1920x1200. Two strand single mode or multimode LC fiber optic cable transmits the signal without RF interference for sensitive applications. The small form factor allows for easy connection and placement, allowing for the cables to be previously installed in conduit prior to extender installation.

Available for immediate sale, the XTENDEX ST-2FODVI-LC DVI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable costs $550.

NTI units connect between computers and peripherals, are easy to use, and require no special tools or software for immediate operation. Customer satisfaction is supported with a two-year warranty on all parts and labor and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Responsive customer service and technical support are available to assist with product selection and user questions (800-742-8324, fax 330-562-1999, email sales@ntigo.com).
